In 1980, the Bible Institute in Sincelejo, Colombia (established by the LAM in 1942) had closed its doors. This is where I had taught for 10 years as a missionary. Many of the pastors serving through the Caribbean Association of Evangelical Churches (AIEC) had become discouraged with their limited biblical or theological training.
