Education

From formal classroom experiences in Christian Schools to literacy work and special education, opportunities to serve as a teacher abound in Latin America.

Latin America Mission is committed to working with and through local church leadership to develop education programs. If you are a teacher or have experience in education (or interest in learning more), we would love to help you find the right ministry fit— connecting your gifts and calling with the needs of the Latin Church.

Opportunities to serve in Education ministries

• Social Work / Teacher
  Medellin, Colombia
  Located in Medellín, the children’s center is in need of teachers. Position is responsible for Christian education, English classes, and preparing young people for a vocation.
• Elementary Teacher
  San Jose, Costa Rica
  Located in San José, the individual will teach the children of missionaries. Christian curriculum ABEKA is used in all class work material.
• Teacher
  Asuncion, Paraguay
  Located in Asunción, the individual will teach elementary or pre-school classes.
• Internet Program Coordinator
  Buenos Aires, Argentina
  Theological seminary requires a coordinator to start study program courses through Internet. Will need to develop courses and install them in the network, in a way that they can be used in the 14 countries of Latin America where there is representation.
• Computer Trainer
  Asuncion and area, Paraguay
  Teach basic computer skills, with special focus on Christian integrity in the work place. This is an effort to increase the job market for poorer-class people.
• English Teacher
  Cartagena, Colombia
  ESL teach English to students of all ages. Teach grammar and conversation.
• Computer Teacher
  Cartagena, Colombia
  Teach basic computer applications to students of all grades both in the classroom and in the computer lab.
• Sports Director
  Cartagena, Colombia
  Manage the physical education program of the school. To include both classes and after school sports. Ability to coach and develop individuals and teams in a Christian spirit.
• High School English, or Science Teacher / Elementary School ESL / Librarian
  Western Central Valley, Costa Rica
  Christian Bilingual School for Costa Rican elementary and high school students. Teaching and other opportunities for student discipleship within and outside the classroom.
